Workout to Conquer Cancer 2026
Team Captain: Colleen Franks
15 years ago, we started with two- Paul Dhillon and Colleen Franks. Small goals in 2012 with a one time plan to do an epic ride and raise money for cancer. We were so overwhelmed by the entire experience that we came back again and again and invited others to join in the experience. At our largest team year we hit 35 riders!
Surj joined in 2015 as a cancer survivor and has helped to spearhead leadership and the drive to keep this team going. We struggle constantly with an endpoint. How long do we carry on with this cause that is so dear to so many of us? The decision was made during our 2023 ride.
1 MILLION DOLLARS! When we hit this all time fundraising goal, we can call this journey complete! We have a few years ahead but have done this with the ongoing support of family, friends and businesses who have stood behind us for this important cause.
In 12 years, we have seen Better Outcomes which have changed lives and that is our motivation. If we can make a difference for even one person, one life, then this journey has been worth all the effort and energy that goes into each year.
We are indebted to your support. Thank you for helping us making a difference in the world of cancer.
