In the past I have participated each August in Tour de Cure to raise money for BC Cancer. The two-day ride has been cancelled, so instead, I will participate in two other challenging rides: the Valley Fondo (120km) on June 8th, and the RBC Granfondo Whistler (125km) on September 6th.

To prepare for those rides, I will be part of the Workout to Conquer Cancer campaign in the month of May. I will ride as well as do other types of physical training to get ready for my big rides. The campaign will raise funds for life-saving research and care at BC Cancer. I will move for the people who cannot and for every survivor who now feels strong.

As in the past, I will ride in memory of my sister and father who had succumbed to cancer. In 2017 I was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). I am grateful for the intervention and care by the medical team at BC Cancer. Without the treatment I have received, I would not be able to be physically active including doing long rides.
