Team stories
From Tori:
My mom, Gail, fought cancer for her first time in 2022 and kicked it's ass. But cancer is relentless, and heartbreakingly she was rediagnosed in December 2023. She has been fighting since. This time is different than the first, the medical procedures are more intense and devestating to her body. I feel very useless in my contributions to making her feel better, I can be there to comfort and provide some laughs, but putting my efforts into something greater, like Workout to Conquer Cancer, will show my commitment to the cause.
Aiyana's story:
Aiyana's dad, Michael aka Paparoo, was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in March 2023. After surgery in April 2023, he underwent 6 months of chemotherapy treatment. Still following up on subsequent testing and further screening, Paparoo is doing well and working out every day! One of the ways Aiyana has continued to support her dad is by raising funds for the BC Cancer Foundation. Over the last year, Aiyana, her friends, and family have collectively donated over $3000 to the foundation. Let's keep this momentum going throughout the month of May!!

This challenge is more than exercise it's about coming together to go beyond limits in making an impact for the 80,000 British Columbians facing cancer each year.

Let's move for the people who cannot, because, together, we are stronger than cancer.
