Eighteen years ago, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, a moment that profoundly shaped my perspective on health, resilience, and the importance of proactive measures. While I have not always had the healthiest habits, my goals are changing. I have come to believe that action, when guided by a thoughtful plan, is one of the most effective ways to confront challenges.
Each May, I dedicate myself to 30 minutes of daily physical activity. This personal commitment serves not only to support my own wellbeing but also to contribute to the vital cause of cancer research. It is a meaningful way to remain accountable while participating in a larger movement for change.
In the years since my mothers diagnosis, there have been advancements in cancer treatment and understanding. I am hopeful that, 18 years from now, we will have found a cure and my children will benefit because of it.
Individual efforts, though small, can become powerful when joined with the actions of others. Together, we can create lasting impact.
