The Tour de Cure is no more, but we ride on!

The fundraising success for the ride was being increasingly eroded due to rising costs for putting on the event, compelling BC Cancer to cancel the ride. But this cancellation has not dampened the Unicorn spirit.!!! Our team of riders will be doing a self-organized ride August 9-10 for the same great cause, now with 100% of donations going directly to cancer research.

The money we raise has a profound impact on the quality of care available to those fighting cancer. For me, riding as a team represents the strength and determination of every cancer warrior. This shared journey empowers each Unicorn Racer to honor those we've lost and to stand in solidarity with those still fighting.

This year I am riding for:

  • The Radziminski family and the memory of their 6 year old daughter Emma
  • The Laws family and the memory of their mother Elisa
  • My dad Chris who beat prostate cancer
  • My uncle Tom who beat abdominal cancer
  • The memory of Ashley Sehmer
  • The memory of Cliff Wildgoose
  • The unknown person whose life is altered by research breakthroughs from BC Cancer
