Wow!
It's already been a year. And what a year it's been.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to visit my page and donate. I am so thankful for my team, and everyone in my life that supports work out to conquer cancer.
This year is extra special for me because May 14 will be my 20 year cancer free. That means that May 14 was my last chemo therapy in North Vancouver. I was 19 and I am now turning 39. Work out to conquer cancer means more to me than just raising money, it's about bringing people together. It's about spreading hope, it's about inspiring those who need it most whether they're going through treatment, have gone through treatment, our parents of those going through treatment. The list goes on and on.
I have lost some close friends in the last 20 years since I joined the cancer community and this is a great way for me to stay grounded and not overthink. Fitness has always been a huge part of my life and the fact that I can use cancer and fitness in the same world, gives me so much happiness.
Let's beat this thing and move, sweat and cry while we do it
thank you again
Brittany
