This May I'm participating in Workout to Conquer Cancer to get moving and support BC Cancer patients. I'm joining others across the province and beyond to move, no matter where we are, every single day of the month.

This year, my personal challenge is to raise $2,000 during the month of May. To entice you to make a donation, in addition to doing a minimum of 30 minutes of physical activity each day, I'll do one burpee for every dollar donated. What's a burpee? It's a pushup. That starts as a squat. Then turns into a plank, then a pushup. Then becomes a vertical jump. Then you do it again. How many burpees can I do in a row right now? Five. Want me to do ten? It'll only cost you ten bucks. If I reach my fundraising goal of $2,000, I will have done 2,000 burpees. There's already a $100 donation in the pot and 100 burpees on deck and it's not even May 1st yet. This is going to be epic.

One in two British Columbians are impacted by cancer. This challenge is more than exercise, it's about joining a community who know that together we can make an impact for those we love and have loved.

*This matching campaign starts on May 13, 2024. It will run until the first 240 registered participants have raised a minimum of $250 each and the matching funds of $60,000 have run out.

The maximum matching donation to be earned by each participant is capped at $250, even if they raise more than $250 each.

The $250 matching donation will be applied to qualifying participants’ fundraising pages within 5 business days of the campaign’s close.
