Ya But No Excuses
Workout to Conquer Cancer 2024
Team Captain: Rylee Keller
Team Captain: Lucy Davis
This May, we will be moving every single day to raise funds for life-saving research and care at BC Cancer. This challenge is more than exercise it's about coming together to go beyond limits in making an impact for the 80,000 British Columbians facing cancer each year. As we get ready to sweat our way through May, please show your support by donating to our team today.
Co-Captain Lucy's Personal Story: In 2020, during COVID my dad was diagnosed with cancer. No one ever wants to hear those words, and not knowing what the future held or what treatment would look like especially in the middle of a pandemic was the worst part. However in 2021, after a hard year of treatment and side effects my dad went into remission and thankfully remains in remission today. This is the fourth year I've fundraised and I'm looking forward to participating for a cause that is incredibly important to me. I'm doing this for my Dad because if he can beat cancer then we can all commit to helping find a cure.
Co-Captain Rylee's Personal Story: This is my third year partaking in the Workout to Conquer Cancer and my second year fundraising. I've had family and friends diagnosed with cancer and I'm doing this for them and those who have been affected directly and indirectly by this disease. I am excited for another year of participating in a great cause to raise money not only for life-saving research but also resources that are paid for by the BC Cancer Foundation thanks to your donations.
Let's move for the people who cannot, because, together, we are stronger than cancer.
Thank you!
