Last year, I participated in Workout To Conquer Cancer for the first time, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of my otherwise healthy, non-smoking, mother passing away with lung cancer. I did a total of 65 km of running and 50 km of biking - may not sound a lot to some, but a lot for a bookworm like me!
This year, I am rejoining my Pharmacy team - The Active Ingredients - and many others in the Workout To Conquer Cancer to raise funds for patients, survivors and those we've lost.
I cannot run this year (plantar fasciitis!) so I will do step-up, sit-up, push-up, leg raise and bike my way through every single day of the month!
