In memory of my dad, Rob Leviton (1949-2005)
Held by Lindy Tucker
This May I will be joining fellow British Columbian's in the BC Cancer Foundation's Workout to Conquer Cancer.
May 23, 2023, will be 18 years since I lost my dad to neuroendocrine cancer. He was an active, fit, Ironman triathlete. My dad's diagnosis, and death only 3 months later, was a harsh reminder that cancer can strike any of us at any time. Cancer does not discriminate.
It is very said that every year, in addition to working out in memory of my dad and my aunt, I add more people to the list that I am working out in memory of, and in honour of. This year I am working out in memory of my best friend's mom who died of cancer last summer. I am also working out in honour of someone that is very dear to me that has recently begun her journey down this road. I don't say that has recently begun her battle or fight with cancer because it is not a fight to be won or lost. It is an illness that we must continue to raise funds for; so we can continue to fund research; so we can continue to find cures. We have made progress over the years, but we have so much more progress to make.
If you're able to, please consider making a donation today to help those currently undergoing cancer treatment and those who will do so in the future.
Thank you so much,
Lindy
